We've been in the Huffman/O'Malley area ever since, and honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way.</h4><h4>Our two daughters are in high school, busy with their school activities and keeping us on our toes. We raised them to love the outdoors and respect the land, and it stuck. Some of our favorite memories are spending days on end on the Kenai, fishing — the kind of trips where you lose track of time and don't even mind.</h4><h4>My career has been defined by service — to customers, to families, to community. I've led teams in the airline industry, both on the ground and in the air as a Flight Attendant. I've worked as a Real Estate professional, helping families find their place. As a professional river guide, I developed the leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills that have shaped who I am today.&nbsp; I chose to step away from my career to raise my family, because I believe that investment matters. I built and ran a small business, navigating the real challenges every entrepreneur in this community faces. Today, I work within our school district, because the future of Alaska starts in our classrooms.</h4><h4>We feel incredibly lucky to live here. Alaska has given our family so much, and we don't take a single day of it for granted.</h4><h4>This is our home. And that's exactly why I'm running.</h4>

Stable school funding isn't just good for kids — it's good for this community. Nobody wants to send their child to a classroom with 35 fifth graders and one exhausted teacher. Underfunded schools don't just hurt our children and staff; they impact the future residents of the Hillside Area.

Our first responders and teachers deserve a defined benefit plan. These are hard, demanding jobs — at the very least, the people doing them should be able to retire with dignity.

In the event of a wildfire or other disaster, we need a to keep our families safe. I will fight to make sure this is a priority in Juneau.
